IMG_4193002NOW OPEN!

Our newest and most anticipated park in the community has over +52 1/2 acres of non stop rolling grass and nature in the heart of downtown.   Purchased in 2018, this land was was once the home to the popular Muscatatuck County Club.  With a keen interest in improving the quality of life for the community, The City of North Vernon invested in Parks and Recreation to develop a new city park, Tripton.  Plans, teams, meetings and many hours of work soon followed to turn this, what was once a nine whole golf course, into an epicenter of outdoor fun.

This park boasts a playground, outdoor amphitheater, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, a boardwalk, disc golf, paved trails and a new welcome center with available restrooms facilities and many ada amenities have ADA components.   This park also includes several pollinator prairie furnished with educational markings along the way.  As you journey along the paved path,  you can spy in the distance one of our larger solar installations with our solar city initiative that also became a reality early last year.

Load up your family, have a picnic, play some disc golf, go for a walk - whatever you decide - plan to spend hours at this place.  Designed for exercise buffs, nature enthusiasts, music lovers, families, walkers and runners this is a park that you don't want to miss.  From large green spaces to several outdoor activities you will quickly see why we say, "You've got to visit this place!"
