Christmas in the City FAQ

Q: Do I need to register?
No, this is a free event and no registration is required.
All are welcome to attend. 
If you are  interested in entering a float into the parade
or to sign up for  Christmas Market or Christmas Parade
or download forms on Facebook
Forms can be turned in at City Hall, Mon-Fri 8AM - 4PM or
email:  events@northvernon-in.gov

Q: Where should I park?
This event takes place at locations all within
downtown North Vernon near or at Stellar Plaza. 
PARKING LOCATIONS AT: City Hall, Police Station,
Napa  Auto Parts, Dollar General Parking Lot, 
Tripton Park + Side Streets will be available for parking.

Q: What time can my child meet Santa?
After Mayor Mike Ochs lights the Christmas Tree,
Santa's workshop will be open, live nativity, live music
and kiddie train rides and food will begin. 
Line for Santa will be cut at 8PM.

Q: What time will the Live music start?
Usually around 4:00 pm

Q: Will there be food and drink for purchase?
Yes, some food and drinks available are free will donation or charged per vendor. 
Chocolate milk, Coffee, Food Trucks

Q: Can I bring my stroller/wagon?
Strollers/wagons will be permitted

Q: Do I need to drive back and forth to each of the festivities?
Nope. 
Once you find a parking spot you can enjoy all the activities
within walking distances from each other.

Q: What should I bring with me?
Warm clothes/jackets to enjoy outdoor activities,
A camera or phone to take pictures with Santa,
Money for purchasing/donations for food, refreshments and market items
