| NVPR Easter Egg Hunt (MARCH) Happening Saturday, March 30th, 2024 @ 1 PM at the City of North Vernon Quadplex. This event is one of our bigger events with regards to prizes to be given away. This event is for ages 8 and under. Kids are divided out by their age group in different areas for the hunt. With over 10,000 eggs this year, plus multiple bicycles per age group to be awarded, you will want to plan to attend this yearly event. The Easter bunny WILL be in attendance!! The SolarFest (APRIL) April 5th, 6th, and 7th 2024 With the Solar Eclipse happening on Monday, April 8th, The City of North Vernon has partnered with North Vernon Main Street and Vernon, Indiana to create a county-wide festival in celebration of this significant event! | Have a Blast Cruise In (AUGUST) What started out as a conversation in a local coffee shop written on a napkin amongst some friends has turned into an event that brings all generations together in one of the cities most popular, heavily attended nights. Our annual city cruise in is the same time every year, always the second Saturday in August and starts at 6:30 PM. Relive the simple days of all the antique cars and trucks, meet up with your local Jeep crew, 4x4 crew or bring your chair and find a spot as you take it all in. | Sweet Street (OCTOBER 31st) More information for 2024 coming soon! Located in downtown North Vernon at Stellar Plaza, Sweet Street is a gathering where local businesses and churches hand out treats to trick-or-treaters from all over. This event started in the parking lot of First Christian Church and grew in popularity through the years. Now, it draws a massive crowd not just of the local crowd but other surrounding communities as well. If you have a trick-or-treater in the house, this is the place to be. Don't let the lines intimidate you as they move fast. This event will always fall on the same night and hours of trick-or-treat set by the City of North Vernon Police Department. | Christmas in the City (DECEMBER) Most definitely the greatest anticipated event of the year for this community. Always the first Saturday in December, this event has been know to feel like you've just stepped into a Hallmark movie.
Boasting a Parade, Christmas Market, Food Trucks, and more! Family, community, fun, food, and all things Christmas ringing through the streets of beautifully decorated downtown North Vernon. This event is a must see! More information about the 2024 Christmas in The City to come! |
