The Utility Billing Department is housed within the Water Services Department at the Carnegie City Hall building (next door to the Mayor's office on Walnut Street). The division is responsible for processing the following (all billed monthly on the same utility statement):
- Water Services Fees
- Sewer Service Fees
- Sanitation Fees
- Stormwater Management Fees
You will need to come into the office with your photo ID and a $100.00 cash or check. This is a meter deposit that will be applied to your final bill if you were to move/close the account. If you are renting you will need to bring your lease/contract. Please be aware the services may not be connected for up to 24 hours after the signing of your contract.
If you are moving out of your residence, you must contact the utility department at least 24 hours prior to the date of disconnection, during business hours. Your meter deposit will be applied to your final bill, you are responsible for any remaining charges.
The North Vernon Municipal Utilities office does not transfer deposits.
