With over +25 years of experience, Michael Cole currently serves as the Fire Chief for the City of North Vernon Fire Department. He began fire his service career in 1994 as a volunteer with the Morristown Fire Department in Morristown, IN. Graduating from Morristown High School in 1996, he joined the Indiana Army National Guard where he served eight years. Now, he is licensed as a Paramedic through the State of Indiana, holds numerous fire certifications and has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science.
Mike has also been a member of the Burney-Clay Twp. Volunteer Fire Department and a career firefighter with Sugar Creek Twp. Fire Department in New Palestine, IN. He also servies a a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighter’s Assoc. (IVFA) and the Indiana Fire Chief’s Assoc. (IFCA).
When not fighting fires for the city, Mike enjoys being married and spending time with his 8 wonderful kids -4 stepsons and 4 biological children (2 sons and 2 daughters).
